27/10/06 - Power!

Well almost....today the power and phone cables have been laid down the right-of-way towards our house, tommorow or Monday it gets laid across our land and connected up!

26/10/06- Welcome back friend!

This is our cordless phone - and what makes it newsworthy is that its been missing for 6weeks, we suspected that Jed had 'posted' it somewhere and indeed he had - we found it in an unused pocket of a bag! Its alot easier to talk to people again now.

25/10/06 - Post

Isn't it great t get an unexpected parcel in the mail. Today it was E who got the surprise - here she is very happy with her belated birthday present from Poppa.

24/10/06 - Homeward Bound

After a great day at a La Leche League Seminar - where I got to meet Kathy Dettwyler - it was time to head home. This shot was taken at a spontaneous roadside break - called because J had had enough of his carseat. By the time we finally got home 1.5hrs later we were all VERY glad to get there.

23/10/06 - Hospitality

In Auckland we were lucky enough to stay with old family friends of Gerards family. They were just FANTASTIC hosts and as you can see from the pic we all enjoyed staying there!

22/10/06 - ah! a new baby!

New baby's are just so special! And this wee girl is no exception. Her parents are dear friends of ours so it was lovely to spend a whole evening with them, get a few photos - and cuddles too!

21/10/06 - Hamilton Gardens

Hamilton Botanical Garden has these amazing themed gardens - this one is the Italian Renaissance Garden - the information outside says "An interpretation of the 15-16th Century Renaissance Gardens that sought to rationalise and improve upon nature." Quite impressive and very popular with weddings - there were 2 seperate weddings having photos done when we were there.

20/10/06 - Cows at sunset

A few things, (namely a 5yr old niece, a new baby, lights for house, catching up with friends and a day long breastfeeding seminar) call us to Auckland this weekend. This shot was taken at sunset near the end of our 3hr drive to Hamilton (our first stop).

19/10/06 - After Work

It was a work day today - quite busy as it turns out.

18/10/06 - Asleep again

Sorry guys - another sleeping baby shot! He doesn't often fall asleep on me like this so had to capture the moment.

17/10/06 - A Driveway!

Yes I know driveways aren't THAT exciting - but we have been planning this one for over a year and its the first step towards our house! Strictly speaking its a driveway and a trench (waiting for powercable).

16/10/06 - Last Spring blossoms

Well the blossoms are almost all gone - we found this last tree when doing Jeds 'at 1yr old' photos.

13/10/06 - Craft at School

This Tiara was made by E as part of a school art and craft display

12/10/06

My worst hotspot - looking forward to this one going!

11/10/06 - Time to impose order

Today I read this (and here for her photo tour) and got the needed motivation to do some much needed decluttering. This is a before photo of one hotspot.

10/10/06 - Spring Weather

OK so its only my second day and I've already bent the one photo rule!
But I think in this case you need both the photos

Photo One: Stormy, windy, temp 8.6C , started pouring iwth rain seconds after I took this pic.

Photo Two: Blue sky, warm sunshine, temp 15.5C, chilly wind still but a much nicer day.

Pics taken 30 MINUTES apart. Gotta love spring!

9/10/06 - EIGHT!

Today my firstborn baby turned 8.

Time goes fast when you are having fun!

(this wasn't her original cake but a rescue job done when Mummy melted the first one!)
