04/01/07 - We have Water!

We finally had a load of water delivered to our tank so today our pump was plumbed in and best of all - a PIPE run to a TAP.....yes I know amazing!.......IN the garden!! YIPPEEE - no more hefting big bins of water up the land to water the garden, instead I get to stand there with a hose (insert big smilely!).

03/01/07 - Just Couldn't Wait!

Now usually J doesn't particularly like showers - but it obviously looked good this morning as he didn't even wait for clothes removal before hopping in!

02/01/07 - First casualties

Not everything in our garden has been happy - this damp cool (with random hot days and extra random snow falls) weather we have been having has made growing difficult. Our return from Christmas festivites found most of our tomato plants had succumbed to stem rot - grrr - two pumpkins and a cucumber have also withered up and died.......I keep reminding myself that we knew this year would be an experiment in the garden......but being stubborn I have replanted more tomato seedlings - we'll see how they go...

01/01/07 - New Year, New Plans, New Edges

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

After a week of virtual neglect we spent today at our vege patch. Our mounds were refusing to stay mounded and so we had to resort to tougher measures and our garden beds now sport lovely straight sides.

28/12/06 - Feijoas

Our feijoa trees are covered in flowers - apparently our late pruning wasn't too late after all! Now heres hoping the birds do their bit and fertilise them well even with all the building activity going on around them.
